A public nonprofit organization made up entirely of volunteers, Friends of the Northumberland County Animal Shelter (FNCAS) exists to support the shelter. The shelter has surpassed industry standards as a "no-kill" shelter with a 2020 live release rate of 97% because to the FNCAS cooperation.
