Dog Owners Review

I consider this park to be one of the best in the area. Most people in the dog park are friendly and helpful, and they pay attention to what their dogs are doing.
It is a pleasure for me to walk the trails and take photographs of the plants. Despite being so close to the city, it is a pleasant mini getaway. During the summer and fall, it tends to be very busy.

"This park is wonderful for my two dogs. It is so nice here that we drive over once a week even though we live in Corpus. Unlike some other local parks, these areas are very spacious and well-covered with grass, so they do not become muddy as quickly as some other local parks.
In contrast to many of the other dog parks I have visited in the area, they have some fun agility items and some covered seating. I always find that my dogs leave tired after their walk!
Human children are not permitted on the playground, but dogs are permitted to use the training equipment for agility. It is almost like a dog park for dogs.
I highly recommend this dog park, since it is designed specifically for dogs.
Nevertheless, some dogs may be able to jump over the fence with impressive escape and jumping skills.
Several picnic tables are located under patio covers, and there is plenty of open space to lay out a blanket if you wish."

"It was closed for the removal of a beehive at the dog park when we arrived. Although I am impressed with the level of care being provided, I would like to see a posted date indicating when the facility will reopen.
I plan to visit the park again since it appears to have a shady structure and does not appear to be as dusty or sandy as other dog parks in the area. There are separate dog-gated areas for large and small dogs, with a shared entrance for both."
