At state parks and campgrounds, pets must be leashed and accompanied by their owners at all times; unleashed dogs are permitted in the wilderness but must be under voice direction. If you have a pet, please clean up after it. Within 100 feet of a cabin, sled dogs and horses should not be tied.
For those traveling between Tok and Fairbanks, Delta State Recreation Site is a popular stopover. This campground provides tourists with a wilderness experience while also keeping them close to town for events and shopping. Nearby, you'll find stores, commercial showers, and other services. There are 25 constructed campsites, a picnic area, a covered picnic shelter, water, and toilets at Delta State Recreation Site. Fly-in camping is possible because to a nearby city airstrip.
