Stephanie Sorensen was employed by a pharmaceutical company in 1993 and had access to a car, insurance, excellent income, and vacation time. Her new supervisor assisted her in this decision as she became aware that this was not making her happy. When Kirk Sorensen, who was employed at the time by a well-known home improvement chain in Eau Claire, asked her what she wanted to do, she said, "groom dogs." As he got to his feet, he did what any good husband would do: he enthusiastically gave the go-ahead. Imagine having dogs visit their home every day of the week, leaving hair everywhere, and consider all the wonderful advantages that would be lost.
