Escondido Feed & Pet Supply

Cindy Lou, the founder of Escondido Feed, is a Southern California native. She grew up in Orange County before moving to San Diego in the 1970s to attend San Diego State University, where she met her husband, Jim, shortly after getting her teaching certificate. They purchased a feed shop in El Cajon in 1975 and expanded to a second facility in Escondido in 1978 (the same year current owner Evan was born). Jim, who grew up on a farm in East Country, taught her everything she knew.
