Six miles north of Gallup on U.S. Route 87, Colin Tanner, a member of the Tanner trade families of the Southwest, and his wife Coleen would set out on a new expedition. Hwy 666 (renamed to U.S. Hwy 491). Later that decade, a new category would make its modest debut with a small selection of feed and salt in an 8' x 10' lean-to shed next to an existing structure.
