Southeast Veterinary Dermatology & Ear Clinic

All of our medical professionals hold Diplomate accreditation with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and are board-certified veterinary dermatologists (ACVD). This indicates that they have completed a 2-3 year dermatological residency in a recognized ACVD program, in addition to the four years of post-graduate training in veterinary school and a one-year internship program or practice equivalent. All of this entails thorough instruction in a variety of subjects, such as clinical dermatology, pharmacology, and the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the skin. Candidates must conduct an original research study, publish it, and show a high level of expertise in the management of veterinary dermatological cases before their residency program is complete. After completing their residencies, candidates must subsequently succeed in a demanding, two-day test.
